According to the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore, in Q1/2025, Vietnam has officially entered the top 4 largest seafood suppliers to Singapore – one of the most dynamic seafood import markets in Asia.
🔹 Export value reached SGD 14 million, accounting for 27.8% market share in the key product category: fish fillets and chilled/frozen fish meat – the highest-value seafood group imported from Vietnam.
🔹 In addition, Vietnam recorded impressive growth in:
- Crustaceans: SGD 5.6 million (8.3%)
- Molluscs: SGD 4.9 million (16.5%)
Import trends in Singapore remain stable, with each main seafood group reaching over SGD 50 million per quarter. There is still ample room for growth, especially in processed products with high added value.
As exports to the U.S. face challenges due to trade barriers, Singapore is emerging as a key strategic market for Vietnamese seafood.
